Hike Date: July 25-26, 2014
Site: 505 (an RV site)
Where’s it at? Northeast Yosemite Valley

Visited Yosemite in July 2014 with a friend from the east coast and we camped here at North Pines site 505 for 2 of the nights. The site was cramped and warned of possibly not having a flat spot for a tent, but it served our purpose fine although it was pretty crammed in with other campers on every side.

The pros of this campground and campsite are that it was really close to a fork in the river and offered easy opportunities to go wading, for a walk to Mirror Lake or the Ahwahnee and is a little bit more secluded than some of the other campgrounds.

Apparently I didn’t take very many photos that didn’t have us in them and in the interest of keeping this about the campground itself, I’m only posting three photos. All in all this is a good choice of campgrounds though I don’t particularly recommend this site. It’s what I could get with only three weeks of notice in the impacted summer month of July.
